Word order transformations
This exercise will help you understand the standard word-orders of simple Old English clauses. First make sure you have read Introduction to Old English, §§12.1–4. Next, read each of the ten clauses in the exercise carefully, and make sure you can identify the kind of clause element (subject, object and so on) on each tile. Then rearrange the clause by dragging each tile onto the appropriate blank.
